Been thinking a lot recently about journeys. Perhaps too much time alone on the tube has done that to me. But it's struck me that how you get somewhere is often just as important as actually getting there. The Israelites wandering in the wilderness for 38 years being a clear example. A time of purification and preparation. Living in such a goal orientated city sometimes makes it difficult to learn the lessons that we need to learn from the journey. Sometimes you have to plan space to 'come away'. Maybe I should spend more time on the tube.

nice pict... looks familiar! Come away is perhaps one of the strongest personal senses I heard from the Lord during my state-in-life discernment. But recently I too have perceive this invitation in the midst of busy service and mission to come away with Him.
